Last night, the gracious hosts at the St. Regis Hotel invited me to their Winter Lodge reception preview. They welcomed local wedding industry members and business professionals to come experience their Winter Lodge tent and hors d'oeuvres for 2014 holiday parties and winter receptions.
The space was warm and inviting with its amber glow, antler chandeliers, and stone fireplace. Even though it was freezing outside, the tent felt cozy and comfortable.
Surrounding the edges of the tent were numerous food stations that highlighted the best catering that the St. Regis offers. Lamb, shrimp, scallops, and a charcuterie station were among the tastiest offerings. Two specialty bars also offered guests some selected champagnes, and there was plenty of bubbly to go around!
One thing I have to note is that this was one of THE best service staffs I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. As a former service industry employee (I served at weddings and events), I truly appreciated the precision, helpfulness, and kindness of the staff. If you want to be treated like royalty on your wedding day, the St. Regis is an amazing DC wedding venue option!
One of the staff members, Susan, was extremely kind and allowed me to get a sneak peek at the reception ballroom while the party was going on. This chandelier lit ballroom seats 170 and has a beautiful view of their garden area (or tent for a winter wedding).
I'm a sucker for amazing chandeliers... Aren't they gorgeous?!
As I was heading out at the end of the evening I couldn't resist a final snap shot of the gorgeous lobby area. And when I say you are treated like royalty at the St. Regis, I really mean it. As I was walking out, they surprised me with an adorable gingerbread cookie for the road home! Sometimes it is all about the little things :)
The St. Regis is a beautiful space to host your guests for an enchanting wedding reception.
