This past Saturday, one of my industry friends at Local Color Flowers invited me to The Mix Event. This chic bridal exposé was held at the American Visionary Museum in Baltimore, MD. I can sincerely say that this was the BEST bridal show I have ever attended (and trust me, I've been to a lot). The Mix Event was geared towards the modern bride who is interested in a more laid back planning environment where she can see, taste, and experience a variety of the services local vendors have to offer. With hardwood floors, exposed brick, fun lighting, and swanky couch seating, this was much more than a bridal show... it was a party!

Kicking off the evening was a phenomenal band called Burnt Sienna. They got everyone into the wedding atmosphere with a mix of all of the greatest hits and wedding favorites! From now on they will be my go-to band that I will recommend to all of my brides looking for a band instead of a DJ at their reception! I have always considered myself to prefer DJ's, but this band really changed my perspective.
My awesome hubby was a great sport and offered to be my date for the evening. Expecting that it was going to be "another bridal event" he was surprised with the quality of vendors, amazing food, relaxed atmosphere, and awesome music! It turned into a great date night after all! We joked as we left saying... "When I don't have a wedding to go to, what do I do? Go to a wedding event!" .. It's safe to say I got into the right profession!
There were some spectacular local caterers at The Mix Event! The hors d'ourves they displayed were fantastic, sure to be guest-pleasers at any wedding. My apologies on not taking pictures of the food... I ate everything too quickly!
Another great connection I was able to make was with videographer Lee from Click Spark. I have said it many times but I'll say it again; videographers are worth the investment to capture your wedding day. This is pretty much what I look like when I watch any wedding video haha! We are going to be teaming up for an exciting new partnership, so stay tuned for some awesome video footage coming your way!
I could go on and on about the phenomenal vendors at this event. There need to be more wedding events like The Mix Event!
