Last weekend, I had the pleasure of going on a formal venue tour of Washington River Farm with one of my couples Rachael and Seraph. River Farm sits on 25 acres of land overlooking the Potomac River. Accompanying the view is a beautiful botanical landscape, perfect for an outdoor ceremony or cocktail hour for a wedding. Up against the estate house is a welcoming slated patio creating an intimate tented reception space. The views are simply stunning. I imagined a soft harp playing in the background while I was touring the grounds. As if the botanical gardens weren't magical enough, several butterflies fluttered around our heads as we took in the sights.
We were pleasantly surprised by how flexible and accomodating the River Farm venue was. Inside of the house, the bridal party is able to use both the first and second floors, guests are welcome to use their indoor bathrooms (aka no porta potty rental! yay!), and there is an open kitchen for the wedding caterers to use. I highly recommend River Farm for any couple wanting an intimate wedding (about 150 guests or under) in the spring or summer. Please enjoy the tour below!
